Barbell Pendlay Row

Equipment Required:

Barbell

To Set Up:

Begin standing with your feet hip width apart, toes pointing straight forward, and positioned underneath the barbell. Draw your shoulders back, very slightly bend your knees, and push your hips rearward to bring your torso toward the floor.

Grasp the barbell just outside the line of your legs. Your hips should be high, and back roughly parallel to the floor.

To Perform:

Perform the movement by puling your elbows toward the ceiling. In the top position your arms should be by your side, and elbows raised above your back. Pause for a moment, before extending the elbows to return to the start position with the barbell on the floor.
