Resistance Band Woodchop

Resistance Band

To Set Up:

Attach a resistance band to a rack or other object so that it is roughly at lower chest height. Grasp the band with both hands and step to the side, so that the band trails directly to your side and becomes tensioned. Position your front foot pointing directly away from the band attachment point, while the rear foot should be perpendicular to the attachment point.

Hold the band with arms straight.

To Perform:

Keeping your arms straight rotate your body using hips, trunk, and shoulders. Your hands, holding the band, will rotate until they are held directly in front of your front leg. Pause for a moment in this position, before returning to the start.
